We will be following the State and CDC guidelines for shelter operations in Massachusetts. All guests and volunteers will be screened each time they come in to ensure the safest possible environment for both guests and volunteers.
This will be easier this year as we finally have our own facility. There will be a rigorous cleaning policy in place to ensure the facility is properly cleaned and disinfected daily. This will include daily electrostatic deep cleaning.
All volunteers and guests will be required to wear a mask when social distancing is unavailable and when moving about within the facility.
All guests and volunteers will be required to sign a waiver releasing Solomons Porch Church / Timao Center from any and all liability including transmitting the Coronavirus etc.
Guests will be screened in a separate area of the facility every day prior to being allowed access into the shelter area. Should a guest have symptoms they will be isolated and sent to the hospital for testing.
All guests will be tested, or must produce a negative test within 3 days, prior to being allowed entry into our program. All guests will be required to have a monthly test and be subject to testing should another guest from the shelter contract the virus.
